The surprise happened in 2011

Posted by: iPhone  /  Category: iPad 3 News, iPhone 4S, Resources, Steve Jobs

The New Year of 2012 is approaching, before we worry about the prophet the end of world, I thought it would be fun to look back on what happened in the year of 2011. So let’s take that romp back through memory lane at the big surprises of 2011.

Steve Jobs’ death: Of all the things happened, Steve Jobs passing away actually hit me the hardest, I think all the Apple users over the world had a tough time when they heard of the news as a thunderbolt. Though Apple is on the right track and Tim Cook must be a brilliant successor, we still miss Steve, just Rest in Peace, Steve, the genius and the father of Apple.

iPhone 4S: Perhaps the biggest surprise of Technical world was the lack of the iPhone 5. After iPhone fans waiting so a long time, Apple actually launch a fixed 3G phone, a better iPhone 4, instead of the expected 4G phone. Though the new features like Siri voice assistant, iCloud sync, 8MP camera and 1080p video recording, and iOS 5 integrated into iPhone 4S, the stunning design of a new model didn’t appear, which disappointed the customers more or less. Nonetheless, for the reason of remebering Steve Jobs or trying the new features or the contract expiring, iPhone 4S sold over 4 million in the beginning week, making a new record for iPhone series.

HP Touchpad: The HP Touchpad came to market and, as expected, it was arguably the second best tablet on the market. Evidently second wasn’t good enough for buyers who avoided it like the plague or HP who quickly killed it and nearly killed the entire division. However, after dropping the price down to $100 HP had to go back into production because the demand went vertical with lines in the Apple range. This showcased several things – that folks were price sensitive. The sale strategy of HP Touchpad set an example for other tablet manufactures, if you cannot parallel with Apple iPad, lowering price can a wise choice.

Kindle fire vs ipad

Kindle Fire: This gadget from Amazon will not only offer you an excellent experience of an e-book reader but will provide you lots of apps and other interesting features of a tablet with the bargin $199. And it is a color tablet with a nice tablet color display from the company that had been marketing that this display was inferior because you couldn’t use the iPad outside. Overall, This is the Price that is playing a major role in the high sale of the Kindle Fire, due to this reason, consumers are ready to buy a Kindle Fire even though there are some extra features offered by iPad.

10 Most Expected Tech Products of 2012

Posted by: iPhone  /  Category: iPad 3 News, iPhone 5 News, Resources, Steve Jobs

We’re nearing the end of the year 2011 and coming into 2012, oh, because of the movie of 2012, when referring to 2012, it always implies the end of the world. But here I’m talking about tech wonders–products that many of us expects. Here’s what I’m anticipating in the new year.

2012

1. Apple iPad 3 HD
The rumors said that the next-generation iPad will be a sight to behold, thinner and lighter. Its most compelling (alleged) feature: a 2048-by-1536-pixel display and Retina screen, Siri integration in addition to a faster processor and 4G Compatibility, Assuming that Apple maintains its tablet-upgrade cycle, we can expect to see the new model in the spring.

2. Microsoft Windows 8
Microsoft’s next operating system promises to be everything. Designed to power both tablets and conventional PCs, Windows 8 is ambitious and risky. The new OS will feature the touch-oriented Metro interface that we first saw in Windows Phone 7. That means Microsoft’s “reimagined” flagship OS will be the first Windows version since the iconic Windows 95 to revamp, rather than simply tweak, the desktop interface.

3. Smarter and OLED TVs
Rumors of an Apple-branded TV set aren’t new, but recent developments lend credence to reports that the folks in Cupertino are cookin’ up something good. According to Steve Jobs’s biographer Walter Isaacson, Apple’s cofounder was obsessed with the smart-TV concept, and had been working diligently on a genre-defining television interface before he passed.

Sony, meanwhile, is developing next-gen TV concepts designed to emulate Apple’s successful strategy of sharing user content among multiple devices, including TVs, tablets, smartphones, and game consoles.

Besides Smarter TVs, the OLED TVs are another expection,  both LG and Samsung will debut 55-inch OLED TVs at CES in January. And they will certainly be priced at a premium relative to today’s LCD and plasma sets.

4. Apple iPhone 5
When Apple unveiled the iPhone 4S in October, many fans felt a twinge of disenchantment. The iPhone 4S has some nice changes under the hood–including the voice-recognizing personal assistant Siri and an excellent 8-megapixel camera–but it looks virtually identical to its predecessor.

The rumored curved glass screen and daring teardrop shape are apparently still on the drawing board over in Cupertino. Assuming that the iPhone 5 arrives in 2012, it just might pack the visual wallop that Apple watchers have been waiting for.
